 Good heatsinks, thermal tape could be better, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Cosmos � 8 PCS Aluminum VGA video gaming card RAM Cooling Heatsinks heat sink cooler + Cosmos Cable Tie (Personal Computers) I bought these for use with a GTX 470 which I had modded with an Antec Kuhler 620 all-in-one water cooling unit. While the unit works well to keep the GPU core temps down, the auxiliary chips such as the RAM and VRMs were heating up more since I took the blower fan out; I bought these sinks to cool them down again. They are the perfect size for the ram, but the thermal tape on them isn't the greatest. While most of sinks stayed on, if you nudged them only a bit they would fall off, and then become impossible to put back on because the tape lost tackiness. I have some 3M thermal tape, and that seems to work a little better than the preapplied stuff, although the best solution would be using thermal adhesive such as Arctic Silver Arctic Alumina 5g Premium Ceramic Thermal Cooling Adhesive Set (AATA-5G).
