The PCT-VB series provides full compatibility with all cable TV services. It supports both analog and digital broadcast signals. It is an alternative to higher priced options, while providing add'l capabilities that other amps don't. The VB-4PN has a full set of 4 amplified output ports - three for TV sets and one for a cable modem or MTA allowing you to connect virtually any cable TV device and enjoy worry-free operation. The VB-4PN also provides a Bypass port - it allows you to connect any device to the amplifier and insure operation of that device in the event of a power failure. The PCT-VB series RF amps are designed to support critical applications such as telephony that require high reliability networks to provide uninterrupted service at all times. PCT-VB series amps have a 2 way splitter incorporated on the RF input prior to the diplex filter which provides an add'l port on the housing for the cable modem or eMTA connection that bypasses the amplifier circuit. This feature enables critical apps to not be affected by power outages or amp failures. During normal operation, all 4 ports have 7dB gain in both directions. During a power interruption, the input port is routed to the bypass port, which means that whatever is connected to that (bypass) port [typically an eMTA (VoIP adapter) or other modem] never loses signal and still has 7dB gain. With regular 4-output amps, if power fails, everything does. Feature a lightweight powder coated, weather sealed housing for superior corrosion protection and precision machined F ports (conforms to SCTE standards) that are gold plated with beryllium copper construction to provide optimal distribution and amplification of your RF signals. The unit is surge protected (when properly grounded) and waterproof. Supports operation from -40 degrees to +140 degrees F. Power supply included.
